Wichita Falls city councilors have approved the implementation of a shelter-in-place order.
The order will be in effect at 11:59 p.m. on Friday, March 27 and will continue until Wednesday, April 8 at 1 p.m. unless it is terminated or modified by the Mayor and the City Council of the City of Wichita Falls.
Violating the order is a misdemeanor and will be punishable with a fine ranging from $1 to $1,000 or a jail sentence of no more than 180 days.
