The Wichita Falls Police Department says a scammer has been posing as Mayor Stephen Santellana asking targets to purchase gift cards as surprise gifts to staff.

WFPD also released a public service announcement from the Federal Bureau of Investigation about the rise in fraud schemes in relation to the outbreak of coronavirus.
