Judas Priest’ bassist Ian Hill said recently the band’s 50th anniversary is 2019 but since the band didn’t adopt the name ‘Judas Priest’ til 1970, the guys decided to wait til 2020 to do their 50th anniversary tour.

As for specific details about the tour, Hill said, “There’s a few ideas in the pipeline, but nothing solid yet, apart from the fact that we will tour.”

Vocalist Rob Halford, when speaking about the tour, “”We’re gonna go deep, deep, deep into the catalogue and try to find songs that we’ve never played before and wrap it up into the history of Priest and the 50th anniversary.”
