A case of road rage in Wichita Falls almost turned deadly Sunday afternoon after a driver pulled a gun on someone who cut him off. It all started on Kell Freeway around 1 p.m., when a man driving an Elantra cut off a Chevy pickup on the highway.
The Chevy then sped up to get back in front of the car, trying to run the car off the road, even break checking the vehicle several times, according to the Wichita Falls Police Department.
Both vehicles ended up taking the Kemp exit off the freeway. When they pulled up to the light, the driver of the Elantra got out of his car to apologize to the driver of the pickup. That’s when the pickup driver pulled a gun on him.
When the driver of the Elantra tried to get back in his car, the Chevy pickup driver put his truck in reverse and slammed into the car.
The driver has been identified as 24-year-old Tyler Reese. He was arrested and is charged with aggravated assault and unlawful carry of a weapon.
